2012 Awards and Recognition

St. Louis County Economic Council has been consistently awarded for outstanding work by governmental agencies, trade organizations, publications, and professional and civic organizations. Below is a list of its 2012 achievements:

July 2012    Denny Coleman, President & CEO, St. Louis County Economic Council

Missouri Economic Development Finance Board (MEDFA) - Richard A. King Award
MEDFA has recognized Denny Coleman for his significant contribution to economic development in Missouri and St. Louis region. The award is given to a person, company, project or municipality that has made a significant contribution to economic development in Missouri and was created to honor the memory of Dick King, a prominent real estate development attorney who promoted Missouri's development financing tools.

Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) - Eddie Mae Binion Community Service Award
Awarded for outstanding achievements and support of LSEM's mission to provide equal access to justice. The award is named for Eddie Mae Binion, who worked on behalf of the poor and disenfranchised for over 40 years.

American Planning Association, Missouri Chapter - Outstanding Planning Award for a Plan
The Jamestown Mall Area Plan was recognized as a significant advancement of planning in the St. Louis metropolitan region. The award was presented to St. Louis County Economic Council, H3 Studios, and Dover Kohl and Partners.
